HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter everyone! We had a really relaxed day. We went to Chrurch, and then came home for our family lunch!
I haven’t been super active on here lately because I’ve been so exhausted this pregnancy. I’ve also been planning Frankie’s first birthday party. It’s not going to be anything big, but I still want it to be fun for her!
I’ve also been preoccupied with our house. We’ve just had our kitchen renovated and I’m so happy! I’ve always liked our kitchen, but I wanted a few things changed and now they have been and I love it!
I’ll share some pictures once I’ve finished decorating it on my Instagram!

20 WEEK UPDATE

I can’t believe I’m already half way! Last week we started decorating the nursery so I really wanted to show you how it is looking so far. We also found out the gender, but have decided to keep that to ourselves for now.

How far along? 20 + 4
Total weight gain: Gained 8lbs
Maternity clothes? Most clothes still fit, but I do have to unbutton some jeans.
Stretch marks? No new ones!
Sleep: Mostly good. Some nights I’m quite uncomfortable
Miss anything? Sleeping on my tummy!!
Movement: Yes!!
Food cravings: Lemons
Anything making you queasy or sick: Chicken
Gender: It’s a secret!
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Exhausted all the time
Belly button in or out? Still in!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Still happy!
Looking forward to: Finishing off the nursery!

TOASTIMALS

The weather here in New York has been a little wild over the last week, so I was looking on Pinterest for fun indoor activities and I saw these super fun toast animals and I knew the kids would love them!

This was more an activity for Grey as Frankie is still quite young, but she did have fun eating them still.

We made our toastimals with delicious fresh bread from our favorite bakery and almond butter, peanut butter, nutella and cream cheese! And of course, bananas and our favorite berries!

There are so many options when it comes to these, but we made a bear, a monkey, an owl and a chicken!

The kids had a really great time making and eating these! If you’ve got picky kids, this might be a fun way to get them to eat fruit!

The kids also loved their animal themed outfits from @sketchbookpixels! I absolutely love this store!

Little People, Big Dreams

I feel so lucky to have kids that love books! I recently bought a series of books called Little People, Big Dreams by Isabel Sanchez Vegara. This series is about the lives of outstanding people from designers and artists to scientists. All of them went on to achieve incredible things, yet all of them began life as a little child with a dream.
I want my children to hear about these amazing people and their dreams and know that they can achieve anything!

This is just a really small update, but I wanted to share this little moment, because I love when my children are being sweet and sharing.

So unless you follow me on Instagram, you probably wouldn’t know that Cohen and I are expecting! I am currently 14 weeks, but I still wanted to share my first trimester update!

How far along? In the pictures I’m 12 weeks, but right now I’m 14+1
Total weight gain: Gained 5lbs total.
Maternity clothes? Not yet!
Stretch marks? No new ones!
Sleep: Still good.
Miss anything? Not at the moment but I know that soon I will miss sleeping on my tummy!
Movement: No.
Food cravings: Green apples
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not at the moment.
Gender: No clue. Cohen and I think a boy, though!
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Morning sickness is definitely gone - and my energy is slowly but surely coming back.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS…

I’m not sure if I will post again this year. I love Christmas so I really just want to spend it with my family and not worry about having to take blog photos and set time aside to write a post. FRANKIE’S 7 MONTH UPDATE

It has been way too long since Frankie’s last update post! Frankie has grow so much! She can now sit on her own, and balance on her hands and knees! Her fine motor skills are improving SO much!

She also has her two bottom teeth now! She has been doing really well with teething. We have a lot of teething toys around for her so she always has something to relieve the pain a little bit.

Grey loves that she is so much more interactive now! He loves playing little games with her and making her laugh. I love that they’re so close and such good friends already!

And as you can probably see, she now lets me put her hair in little pigtails!

I’m going to keep this post short as I want to post more frequently and some people might not like super long posts all the time.

THANKSGIVING 2016

We had a really low key Thanksgiving this year! Just us, eating food and watching football! I was looking on Pinterest last week and I saw this pumpkin pie with a turkey decoration on top and I thought it was so cute and I had to make it with Grey! He absolutely loved it and we had so much fun making it together!
I got the recipe here if any of you would like to make it!

I haven’t done an update on Frankie in a while so I will do a small one in this post!

Frankie is 6 months (almost 7)! She has her bottom 2 teeth, can roll and sit on her own and has started eating solids! I will write a more in depth update next week when she is 7 months.

We didn’t really take many pictures today, but I’ll put a few in at the end of this post.

OUR WEDDING

Cohen and I got married on October 29th! It was the most incredible day and I am so happy that Cohen and I are now finally married! We had a fairly small wedding, we only invited close family and friends.

It was such a beautiful day and I am so happy to finally have the pictures back from the photographer!
It was also a really special day for Cohen and Grey, as Cohen officially adopted him and is now his legal parent. I am so incredibly happy to have found someone who loves Grey and I so much!
I want to share quite a few photos because I couldn’t narrow it down, so I’ll put them below.

I don’t know what else to say, except thank you to everyone who came and shared this special day with us. Thank you to Butterfly Bakeshop in Manhattan for making our incredible wedding cake and Selia Yang for my beautiful wedding dress. I’ve never felt so beautiful in my life!

I can’t wait to share our new life together with you all!

PUMPKIN PATCH

October is one of the best times of year – beautiful colors, autumnal decor, Halloween, and of course, fun family outings. I love doing family activities, so of course we went to a Pumpkin Patch! I love filling our house with pumpkins this time of year, so this is always a fun trip! Grey found the “most perfect” (according to him) pumpkin today and was so excited to bring it home!

We all had such an incredible day! I will always remember fun, family day trips like this!

GREY’S 2ND BIRTHDAY

Sunday, October 9th was Grey’s 2nd Birthday Party! We had a few of his friends (Lohan, Lia, Melanie, Percy and Thomas) and family members over to eat some good food, dance to some music and make s’mores!

I spend a lot of time on Pinterest, so when I saw what a s’mores station was I knew I had to do this for Grey’s Woodsy Bash!

We decided on a Woodsy/Lumberjack theme because Grey is obsessed with Cohen. Cohen is very outdoorsy and goes camping and rock climbing a lot! They are always playing in Grey’s tent and pretending to be bears so this theme really fit well with Grey’s personality!

Grey had the most amazing time with his friends! They were all running around and playing together for hours so Grey basically passed out when his party was over.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Grey’s 2nd Birthday. We really appreciate it!

Thank you! I had a great day! Cohen was in Milan for Fashion Week and I thought he was going straight to Paris after that, but he surprised me and came back to spend the day with me for my birthday so I was super happy about that!

He is leaving again in a few hours though which sucks, but at least I got to see him for my birthday!

QUICK UPDATE

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve been extremely busy! I’m trying to get more products into the store so that is taking up a lot of my time. Also Cohen and I went to a few NYFW shows last week which was lovely.

Grey is turning two at the start of next month so I’ve been planning his party. It’s coming along great! I’m making a lot of the decorations myself and I’m making a lot of the food so I’ve been finding recipes and testing them out.
Plus our wedding is only just over a month away!! I am so excited to get married!
I’ve been really absent on social media lately, but I’m going to try and post more so follow my instagram and twitter for more frequent updates on me and my kiddos!

FRANKIE’S THREE MONTH UPDATE

This has been a big month for all of us because Frankie has started rolling! Shes doing really well with tummy time and pushing herself up and holding up her head. She also has better control of her arms and legs now and isn’t kicking Grey as much when he tries to cuddle her.
Grey is so obsessed with her. He loves taking photos of her and trying to get her to smile. He sees Cohen taking photos every day so I think he wants to be more like him, which is so adorable.

We’ve been a little busy over the last week or so. Cohen turned 31 and he and I had a nice little date night. We went to Mackenzie & Jackson’s ( @magicbabymama ) wedding and it was so beautiful. I’m so happy for them! I’ll put a picture of Cohen and I at the wedding below.

I’ve also been having a few shop dramas with samples not being right and all that, so I’m not sure when it will be updated next. I apologize if this blog is a bit quiet while I try and get new products ready. Our wedding is also 3 months away, so I’m also pretty focused on making sure that is perfect. This time of year is really stressful because we have so much going on and not a lot of time.

NEW ITEMS ON KELLY & CO

As most of you probably know, I own my own online store, Kelly & Co. Today we added 4 new items and I thought I’d show you some of them.

First, we added two new women’s clothing items. The Kenna top and the front fastening skirt. I absolutely love both of these and they fit me so well!

We also added two home items, some pillows (which you can see in Frankie’s 2 month update) and the storage shelving and cabinet (the one on the left). I am obsessed with this piece of furniture. We have this in our dining room, but I think I’m going to put one in my office too!

4TH OF JULY PARTY

This 4th of July, Cohen and I decided to rent a house to get out of the city and spend some time with our friends! Mia (my sister), Dayna (my best friend and assistant) and David (Cohen’s best friend) spent the weekend with us and we had the best time!

It was so great for all of us to get together and catch up and have some good food. Grey had a great time seeing Mia again and was so happy Cohen was back from camping. He really missed him while he was away.

Dayna and I went kind of overboard with all of the decorations. We also told everyone they had to wear something flag themed. Frankie’s little bathing suit was so adorable! Cohen laughed when I first handed him his shirt because he thought I was joking, but then he remembered who I was and that I’m over the top, especially when it comes to things like this! I had the greatest weekend with all my favorite people and I hope all of you had a great weekend too!

FRANKIE’S TWO MONTH UPDATE

I haven’t been updating as much as I’ve wanted to lately. I’ve been busy with with the store, wedding planning and Cohen has gone camping with his friends so it’s just been me and my babes for the last few days. We are renting a holiday house for the summer, so we went there last weekend. I decided to come home while Cohen was camping, but we will be meeting up again tomorrow to spend the 4th of July together!

Now, on to Frankie’s update! We recently switched from breast milk to formula as advised by my doctor. Sadly, it just wasn’t working for either of us. She is now a much happier baby, sleeping better and gaining a good amount of weight!
She is picking up small toys now, and even smiles every now and then!

I will hopefully be posting regularly over the summer!

FRANKIE’S ONE MONTH UPDATE

I’m a little late getting this post up, but I wanted to do it anyway! Frankie is now 1 month and 4 days old! How is she a month already!?
She is developing really well! She can hold her head up a little bit when we do tummy time.
She is making so many adorable little noises now too!
She also stares a lot. When we hold her she will just stare right into our eyes as we talk to her. It is so adorable.

The weeks are just flying by lately. I feel bad for not updating this blog regularly, but I’m busy with Frankie, Grey’s second birthday is coming up and we are planning our wedding right now.

Hopefully I’ll find the time to update more frequently.
