I’m 40 weeks + 3 days at the moment and I was at the hospital this morning because I thought it was time. I was only 2cm dilated and my pain wasn’t that bad so they’ve sent me home to get some rest and then I’ll go back once the pain is more intense.
I’m so excited and nervous. My daughter will be here soon. I can’t believe this is finally going to happen!
In the mean time I’m going to have a lush bath and relax and then have a little nap if I can.
I’m almost 40 weeks and it’s getting to the point where I need to have my bags ready because I could go into labor at any moment now. I thought I’d share what I’m taking with me in my hospital bag.
In my suitcase I have comfortable clothes for me to wear, a boppy pillow for breastfeeding, a few blankets and burp cloths, nipple cream, body lotion ect. I also have snacks like my lactation bars and some juice and of course, a camera. I also have a bag filled with baby clothes, socks, mittens, pacifiers, diapers and all that other fun baby stuff!
Grey doens’t quite understand what’s going on. He understands that there is something inside of me called ‘sister’ but I don’t think he quite understands what a sister is. Cohen is so happy and ready to have a little baby. He never got to see Grey as a tiny baby so I’m excited to see how he will deal with a newborn.
I can’t wait for our little one to arrive. Everyone send me good vibes and hope that I don’t have to wait too much longer!
